Because it's too cold out...

Because it's too cold out ....

  divine proportion
  eludes the wistful body
  chowing down on pi

  overcrowded page
  inimical typeface
  communication

  hagiographies
will shun the stroking ink pen
  caressing my name

  punctuation marks
  like scattershot on paper
  deserve more respect

  an untimely death
  bleeds needless repetition
  superfluous scythe

  1. Wonderful. Indoor haiku. Images and reflections on marks on a white page as minimalist and clear as the gnarled pines in Basho's deep North... because it's too cold outside. A nice job of translating the genre from nature and seasons to the desk. I read them as linked by time and intent, but not continuous. (?)
